Soulhike
Hiking Wild in the Swedish woods is an off-grid 3-day forest retreat where you hike with a smaller group, far from the distractions of everyday life. The hike is you who do not have much outdoor experience, but long to strengthen your natureconnectedness and gain more practical outdoor experience. Hiking Wild in Söderåsen is perfect for those of you who live in the capital region of Denmark and need a weekend hike to prepare your body and mind for longer hikes deeper into the wilderness, or simply explore whether outdoor life is something for you. Söderåsen National Park contains the largest concentration of biodiversity in southern Sweden, has a unique geology, and is just an hour's train journey from Copenhagen, so the area is inviting you to immerse yourself in nature. Soulhike takes care of transport, gear and food, so it is easy for you to leave everyday life and just focus on being present with yourself and the hike. You just have to show up on Friday afternoon at Kastrup Airport train station and expect to be back in Copenhagen late Sunday. Upon registration you will be sent all further practical information.
Mindful hiking
Hiking Wild differs from other guided hikes by a more conscious approach to hiking as personal process. We hike with presence towards the surroundings, our bodies, and each other. You must therefore be prepared to hike in silence for periods of time and respect the framework for this when required. The silence will deepen your experience, while you still share your experiences with others. We will set aside time for forest meditations and journaling, as well as daily sharings, where you have the opportunity to share your thoughts and proces from the hike.
